Engineering Link has provided structural engineering services for various high-profile events at the Budweiser
Stage, a premier concert venue in Toronto. Our work has focused on ensuring the safety and stability of the
venue’s structural elements during major performances, including the 2014 Drake concert and the 2017 OVO
Festival. For these events, we reviewed the loading conditions of suspended rigging and stage trusses, ensuring
that the existing roof structure could safely support the imposed loads. Our team recommended load distribution
adjustments and verified that the structural integrity of the roof joists was maintained, adhering to safety
standards.
In addition to these specific concerts, Engineering Link has been involved in several other projects at the
Budweiser Stage, such as load checks for Phish, Iron Maiden, and YouTube concerts. Our responsibilities included
evaluating roof load capacities, reviewing rigging configurations, and advising on the protection of existing roof
structures.
