Our mandate included preparation of detailed structural contract documents for building permit and tender, covering underpinning strategies for adjacent structures and reinforcement of existing ground floor joists to integrate the new additions with the existing building. The documents also specified all primary structural elements for the new construction, ensuring compatibility with the existing framing and foundations.
Additional structural services comprised feasibility reviews and recommendations to support potential future rooftop mechanical unit installations. For the kitchen renovation, we addressed required structural modifications to accommodate new ductwork through load-bearing CMU walls and the exterior brick façade, providing lintel details and structural sketches to maintain overall building integrity.
During construction, Engineering Link provided ongoing support through regular review of structural shop drawings and site involvement to confirm conformance with the design intent and applicable codes. Close coordination with the project team remained a priority throughout delivery, allowing the structural scope to be completed efficiently with minimal disruption to church operations.
