This multi-phased project involved the structural design of a supporting frame with raised steel beams and new piers to accommodate an emergency power generator.

Our scope also included an extensive structural design review for a proposed derrick crane, coring reviews throughout existing structural elements, and meticulous contract documentation and administration, including the review of structural shop drawings. The data center, powered entirely by renewable energy, leverages our Deep Lake Water Cooling System (DLWC), which features three intake pipes drawing 4°C water from Lake Ontario into our Enwave chilled water loop.

Challenges/Uniqueness:

  • Designed a supporting frame with raised steel beams and new piers to accommodate an emergency power generator.
  • Conducted structural design reviews for a proposed derrick crane and performed coring reviews throughout existing structural elements.
