Structural engineering services for the Bézier Curve House, a 7,400 sf residence in Toronto’s Lawrence Park neighborhood. Custom Home Builder Farhad Kazmian of Abond Homes aimed to create a home that would stand out and incorporate a Bezier curved roof. Our scope of services included contract documents and contract administration services.
To achieve an economical construction of the roof design, the team employed traditional techniques. The structure was created using evenly spaced wood joists and tensioned to form a natural curve. At a critical juncture, the exposed structure was elegantly wrapped in red oak veneer.
