Building envelope inspection and testing services for the Ken Soble Tower Passive House retrofit, Canada’s first project of its kind. The scope included air and water tightness testing, thermographic scanning, and adhesion testing of exterior sealants. The project achieved a high standard of airtightness, meeting Passive House Canada requirements and significantly reducing energy use.

Part of a 3.1 million square-foot mixed-use development, The Well spans 7.8 acres in downtown Toronto and includes office, retail, and residential across six towers connected by a 3-level retail podium. As part of the new construction design-assist team, our role focused on thermal performance analysis of exterior wall assemblies. Using 3D thermal modeling (HEAT3), we assessed thermal bridging through metal panel systems at plenums, ramp walls, and soffits, as well as terra cotta cladding on the six-storey podium.
