Kennedy Road South New Development
This 9,300 sq. ft. single-storey steel-framed office at 7725 Kennedy Road South was designed for single or multi-tenant use and is currently occupied by a credit union. Situated along Etobicoke Creek, the LEED-standard facility maximizes structural efficiency, daylight access, and connection to the surrounding landscape. Engineering Link provided contract documents and administration services. The site includes two outdoor amenity areas and features a heritage installation incorporating stone from the historic Graham Farmhouse, now part of the Sam Rayson Valley Trail.
New Rice Developments Head Office
A 10,800-squre foot single-storey office with a basement, designed to blend with the nearby river and forest. A slim roof profile and cantilevered north end enhance natural light and connection to the landscape. We provided shop drawing reviews and construction oversight for this tranquil, light-filled workspace.
The Miller Group Tenant Fit out
This 60,000-square-foot multi-storey office project featured three suspended, movable partitions and a new 3-storey interconnecting staircase. Engineering Link prepared the structural drawings for new steel supports, floor openings, and stair design. Working alongside the interior design team, we delivered a seamless structural integration, with custom framing systems supporting the folding partitions independently of the base building. Our scope included assessment, investigation, design, contract documents, and administration.
College Park Interior Renovations
Structural design for a 6-storey partial infill of an existing atrium to accommodate four new glazed elevators, expanded mechanical spaces, and HVAC upgrades. Work included revised framing for a new escalator pit, relocation of stairs and escalator, and column cladding. We issued revised, stamped structural drawings and developed a layout strategy to increase rentable space, improve flow, and enhance natural light for a modern, open interior.
New Generators and Chillers
This multi-phase project included structural design for a raised steel frame and new piers to support an emergency generator. Our team also provided design reviews for a proposed derrick crane, coring assessments through existing structural elements, and full contract documentation and administration, including shop drawing reviews. The data centre, fully powered by renewable energy, is cooled using Enwave’s Deep Lake Water Cooling System, which draws 4°C water from Lake Ontario.
Sutherland Campus “A Wing” Revitalization
Engineering Link provided Structural and Building Envelope services for the 76,000 sq. ft. revitalization of Fleming College’s A-Wing at the Sutherland Campus. Completed while the building remained in use, the project modernized the space to enhance circulation and energy performance. Our scope included a new ground floor entrance, a feature stair, exterior retaining walls, clearstory framing, cladding and parapet connection design, and support structures for AV equipment.
The Hermant Building
Structural renovations at the historic Hermant Building—comprising the 16-storey 21 Dundas and 9-storey 19 Dundas with rooftop terrace—included assessments and preliminary design for steel reinforcement and localized concrete repairs. Extensive work was required on deteriorated floor slabs at 19 Dundas due to prolonged moisture exposure. The project also included exterior restoration, base building retrofits, and 90,000-square-feet of commercial tenant upgrades at this landmark site in Yonge-Dundas Square.
Meaford Public Library Conversion
This project transformed a former grocery store into the new Meaford Public Library. Structural work included temporary shoring and partial removal of load-bearing masonry walls for a new curtain wall, helical screw pile caps to address poor soil conditions, and reinforcement of roof joists for new mechanical units. Load checks were performed, and a new guardrail was designed for the parking lot.
40 Bay St., Scotia Bank Arena
As base building structural engineer for over 20 years at this arena, our work has included load reviews for over 100 productions, rigging assessments, and support for the 80,000 lb. scoreboard installed in 2015. Scope included structural design for new roof framing members, loading reviews for electronic signage, and reconfiguration of the northeast entrance and concourse levels. Services also included site verification, shop drawing review, construction review, and drawing updates to meet current building code requirements.
909 Lakeshore Blvd. W., Budweiser Stage
Structural services at Budweiser Stage have included rigging and roof load reviews for major events such as the 2014 Drake concert, 2017 OVO Festival, and performances by Phish, Iron Maiden, and YouTube. Work focused on assessing suspended rigging, verifying roof joist capacity, recommending load distribution adjustments, and ensuring structural safety for high-profile productions.
Bezier Curve House
Structural engineering services for the 7,400 square-foot Bézier Curve House in Lawrence Park included contract documents and administration. To achieve the signature curved roof, traditional framing techniques were used with tensioned wood joists, forming a natural arc. The exposed structure was finished with red oak veneer for a refined architectural detail.
Region of Waterloo 6-Storey Purpose-Built Rental Tower
The Region of Waterloo’s 6-storey affordable housing tower consists of 48 affordable housing units that will serve the seniors of the community. With a total GFA of approximately 54,000 sf of this new build, the structural system for this tower features reinforced concrete, masonry walls and hollow core slabs.
New Development, 39-Storey Purpose-Built Rental Tower
Located at the northwest corner of Vaughan Road and Northcliffe Boulevard in Toronto’s Oakwood-Vaughan location, this modern interpretation of a Flat Iron building has a total GFA of 430,000 sf.
Engineering Link was retained to provide structural engineering design services for this purpose-built rental development featuring two retail spaces at grade with three levels of underground parking and a building height of 126 m. The development will feature 491 rental units.
New Development, 40-Storey Multi-Unit Residential Condominium
Located in the heart of Toronto’s bustling Entertainment District, 128 Peter is a 39-storey condominium tower designed in dialogue with the surrounding brick and beam warehouse context in a sensitive juxtaposition between old and new. The tower features dramatic cantilevers sheltering Victorian houses that sit on the site which will be respectfully restored.
Yorkdale Shopping Centre
Services at this premier shopping destination included storefront framing design and review for retailers such as The Body Shop, Dynamite, Mulberry, Salvatore Ferragamo, Lacoste, Stuart Weitzman, and White House | Black Market. Additional work included chandelier support for Tory Burch, corbel repairs at Williams Sonoma, emergency call tower installations, exterior signage review, and garbage compactor support framing.
Our Building Envelope group has also completed roof replacements and condition assessments across the property.
Casino Niagara Sports Bar
At Casino Niagara, a former steakhouse was transformed into LEV2L—Niagara Falls’ largest sports bar—featuring 275 seats, a live stage, large-format screens, and a dedicated sports wagering area. Structural scope included slab infill, removal of a steel-framed TV tower, cantilevered columns, and suspended bulkheads on Level 2, with video banner supports and reinforcements on Level 3 to accommodate the new venue design.
TD Bank Weston Village
Structural Design and Contract Administration services for a new 4,600 sf, 1-storey TD retail branch located in Weston Village.
The construction is on convention strip and spread footings. Successful completion of this project to meet targeted time frames required strict adherence to TD’s new design process. The branch features New Smart ATMs and a lounge area. This facility’s environmental building standard is LEED Gold
Arbour Mill Expansion
The new addition was designed to convert part of the existing 5th floor roof into a new floor, a new part 6th floor addition and a new part 7th floor addition.
Site Investigations were conducted to assess the existing seven (7) storey tower and basement building’s visible as-built structural elements for the proposed two (2) storey tall addition. Each floor covers an area of 2,000 sf, totaling 4,000 sf.
Alexander the Great Parkette
Stuctural design for a precast concrete colonnade elements, foundations, and associated support structures. The design emphasized constructability, efficient load transfer, and integration with surrounding landscape and architectural features.
Lisgar Park
Structural engineering services for a new park development including elements incorporated into the landscape architecture such as art poles clad with reclaimed or new timber, retaining walls for raised planting areas, structural frame for park ‘island’ seating areas and wood deck framing.
Holy Family Church Addition & Renovation
This project involved the addition of new multipurpose space and the renovation of existing living quarters at Holy Family Church. Our structural team provided responsive solutions that adapted to changes in architectural design and budget parameters. The scope required a strategic and flexible approach to meet the evolving needs of the project.
New Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo St. Michael Church
New Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo St. Michael Church, a one-story building with a basement and mezzanine, totaling 34,200 sq ft.
New Place of Worship & Religious Study Centre
Design and development of a new three-storey religious study center with a deep basement, totaling approximately 26,190 sq ft. This project required a comprehensive structural approach, considering the site’s unique challenges, including an adjacent underground river and a high water table.
Poultry Processing Facility
Base building structural design of a new one storey addition to an existing Poultry Processing Facility. Approximate constructible area is 57,300 sf. This includes the ground floor and suspended mezzanine and platform areas.
Single-Storey Industrial Buildings
Structural design of two new industrial buildings in the GTA. Total square footage of 383,324 sf, with a bay size of 50’ x 56’ and a clearance to underside of structure of 40’. Building is clad with metal siding on three sides, and pre-cast on the fourth side, the load dock bay side.

Cold Storage Facility Alterations
Interior Renovations for an industrial building (box in a box) for a cold storage facility that includes freezer, coolers, dry storage, cold dock, dry dock, and office area.
OLG Stage Theatre Balcony Assessment
Structural engineering services to address significant vibration experienced in Balcony Levels 1 and 2 during high-energy concert events.
CRAFT Beer Market Restaurant and Bar Renovations
Our scope for this renovation project required for us to prepare and issue structural contract documents which included new raised dining areas on the ground floor, kitchen equipment and keg room load checks on the ground and second floor, exterior patio bar permanent structures including a new pergola over the exterior courtyard and concrete planters, exterior sign support (Yonge St. Elevation), hanger support system, and suspended draft beer lines from keg room to the bar.
Winchester Public School
Engineering Link was engaged to perform a review of the steel cluster columns and an exterior wall condition assessment. Extensive coordination was required with the city of Toronto Heritage Department for the approvals to proceed with the proposed high-performance windows.
Grand River Regional Cancer Centre
Structural engineering services for the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre (GRRCC) Linear Accelerator (LINAC) Project at Grand River Hospital, focusing on the structural renovation to integrate advanced Varian Truebeam LINAC equipment.
MRI Unit Replacement
Engineering Link provided structural design and contract documentation services to assist with the MRI unit replacement on the 1st level of the hospital.
Galt Fire Hall Museum Rehabilitation
Engineering Link assisted with reinstating the original look of the building’s masonry double arched fire truck entrance doors.
Division 41 Police Headquarters
The new, 3-storey Toronto Police Services 41 Division Headquarters is located at 2222 Eglinton Avenue East.
This facility will be 69,000 sf and will include office spaces, locker rooms, firearm storage, interview rooms, and a 250-vehicle underground parking garage.
Duncan McArthur Hall
The expansion and redevelopment of Duncan McArthur Hall was a multi-phased project consisting of 3 stages that included a Feasibility Study, Schematic Design Development and Contract Documents Administration.
Botterell Hall Biomedical Research Laboratory
Engineering Link provided a structural review of proposed framing to support four new circular silencers above an existing laboratory exhaust fan located on the roof of the 9-storey building.
Rogers Data Centre Renovation
Our design work included the creation of a structural slab in power rooms to function as an air plenum for ducting, as well as robust support systems for extensive overhead cabling, accommodating Rogers’ specific capacity needs.
Rogers CDC3 POD II, Tier III certified Data Centre
Build-out of a 21,800 sq ft warehouse into the Rogers CDC3 POD II, Tier III certified Data Centre in Airdrie, Alberta. Our involvement spanned initial site reviews through design and contract administration, adapting to evolving project requirements. The structural design encompassed a range of elements critical for the data center’s operation.

Our team provided structural design and analysis for several key modifications within the existing building.
A & W Portfolio – Canadawide
Structural design and contract administration services for A&W restaurants across Canada, supporting both a national prototype program and site-specific projects. Our work ranges from early one-off tenant upgrades and equipment load checks to the current generation of standardized “left-hand,” “right-hand,” endcap, and FS2.0 A&W prototypes that can be efficiently rolled out on diverse sites and in multiple jurisdictions.
Burger King Portfolio – Provincewide Ontario
Engineering Link has been working with Burger King and their design partners on a series of new prototype restaurants and renovation projects across Ontario. Our involvement includes multiple ground-up, ±2,800–3,600 sf free-standing restaurants, pavilion-type locations, and conversions of existing spaces into modern Burger King formats in communities such as Exeter, Simcoe, St. Thomas, Hamilton, Timmins, and the GTA.
Longo’s Retail Portfolio
Structural design and contract administration services for a series of Longo’s Grocery Store projects across Ontario, ranging from new ground-up builds to complex retail conversions and tenant fit-outs. Our role covers full structural support for base building, major renovations, and interior fit-outs, including foundations, floor and roof framing, equipment support, and structural modifications for new loading, openings, and services.
CIBC Portfolio
Engineering Link has completed over 150 projects nationwide for CIBC, demonstrating our firm’s capacity to execute large scale national efforts with our clients and stakeholders.
Our scope of work included structural reviews, load checks, branch renovations, ABM replacements, 4 new buildings – 10,000 SF, 9,160 SF , 6,130 SF, 5,000 SF, lobby renovations, new and removal of vaults, mezzanine supports, and moveable partitions.
TD Bank ATM Rollout – Canadawide
Structural engineering services to support TD Bank’s national ATM replacement program, impacting up to 1,300 branches across Canada over an approximately 18-month rollout. Working with BGIS and Gensler, our team helps ensure that each new ATM can be safely accommodated by the existing building structure while meeting TD’s aggressive schedule and budget objectives.
For each site, Engineering Link completed a preliminary evaluation based on contractor-supplied information and available base-building drawings, then tailors the level of review to the existing conditions, from streamlined load checks to detailed, site-specific structural assessments where required. Where in-person review is necessary, our engineers travel to site, document the as-built structure, and confirm its capacity to support the replacement ATM.
